When summer comes around, one popular activity is camping. Camping can happen in many forms, but it can also be expensive. Even though camping can get costly, below are a few tips and tricks to save money on your camping trip.

• Borrow or rent your camping equipment – Gear and equipment can be very expensive. Borrow equipment from a friend or rent from a shop to save some money. Also, you will not have to find room to store it after your trip!
• Skip bottled water & other disposables – Many campers still buy bottled water cases for their camping trips. Instead, buy a reusable pitcher that filters water for unlimited water refills, and be sure to take reusable bottles.
• Stay for free by volunteering – Some campgrounds offer a complimentary stay in exchange for volunteer work. Volunteer positions could range from custodial work to giving tours to maintenance tasks!
